Founded in the late 1970’s by Yaron and Shula Yemini, Naomi’s Garden began operating as a vegetarian health food truck. The business’ success brought the Yeminis to Liberty City in the early 1980’s, where they established a commissary for the food truck. By 1998, at the local community’s request, Naomi’s began selling Haitian-Caribbean food, and has been doing so to this day.

Today, Naomi’s is managed by Noam and Omaar Yemini (both born on the property), who have brought on new growth and expanded service into more of the surrounding communities. During the week, guests can also enjoy music and art events in the beautiful garden-seating area.

Naomi’s remains open for business during the COVID-19 pandemic, deliver to your home (individual or family-style) and catering meals to healthcare workers via Serving the Frontline.

Twin brother chefs Roberto and Emanuele Bearzi work together at Downtown Miami’s RISTORANTE FRATELLI MILANO crafting regional Italian dishes they first tasted in their mother’s Milanese kitchen. Lunchtime guests vie for breezy sidewalk tables and in the evening, the casual elegance of the candlelit dining room provides a more relaxed atmosphere.

The family-owned and operated restaurant opened in 2006 and later doubled in size to keep pace with the demand for the chefs’ reasonably-priced, soulful fare. As downtown Miami grows, so too does this small business which is truly a labor of love for the entire Bearzi family. Working alongside Roberto´s wife Fiorella and their friendly staff, the brothers are inspired by the dishes they recall from early childhood in northern Italy where their grandmothers would prepare hearty soups and stews for a Sunday family feast.

These long-cherished flavors influence the lunch and dinner menus just as much as Florida’s fresh produce and ample local seafood fuel an infinite roster of daily specials. Roberto serves as Executive Chef and his brother Emanuele hand crafts delicate pastries, specialty pastas and artisanal breads. Miami’s Italian expats clamor for Chef Emanuele’s bombolone, nutella- or cream-filled Italian doughnuts that are difficult to find outside Milano.

Celebrated by top food critics, awarded by major publications and cited by global travel sites, the twin chefs are most honored by the personal reviews penned by customers on YELP, TripAdvisor & Facebook. Feeling welcomed and appreciated by the local community is deeply rewarding.
